Permanent Collection Acquisitions

Joanie Holt, left and Carolyn Roden, right at the 2016 Annual Art Show and sale with the beautiful flowers they provided for the event.

Also shown are two recent acquisitions for the Haley Collection.  “Along the Rio Grande” by Wayne Baize (24×36, oil on canvas) is an outstanding piece of Texas themed art.  The Donkey Taxi at the Boquillas crossing on the Rio Bravo, as it is known on the south side of the river hangs in the main gallery of the library next to Veryl Goodnight’s “Showdown”(24×30, oil on canvas).

We thank Mrs. Roden and Mrs. Holt for their loyal generosity to the Haley Library Acquisitions Fund.  These new acquisitions were funded by Mrs. Roden and Mrs. Holt along with grants from the Willard M. and Ruth Mayer Johnson Charitable Foundation in memory of Mary Ann Johnson Lindley.
