Fran Magruder Sherpa will present her photographs from some familiar locations and some not so familiar locations.  Her very unusual photographic printing methods will reveal craftsmanship of a very demanding and unpredictable medium, Vellum.  Vellum as defined by Webster’s dictionary, “is a fine-grained unsplit lambskin, kidskin, or calfskin prepared especially for writing on or for binding books.”  The ancient scribes used it for copying and illustrating texts from the Bible and other religious works.  Fran’s work with photographs on this…

The 39th Annual Haley Library Art Show and Sale will open at 6:30 pm with works sent by artists that were invited to participate in one of the longest running shows in the country.  The fundraiser show has provided outstanding fine art to West Texas collectors that would have to travel far and wide to  find the quality of art presented in “our own backyard”.  Cocktail Buffet.  Tickets are $50.00 each.  Call 432/682-5785 for more information.
