Fran Magruder Sherpa
April 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Fran Magruder Sherpa will present her photographs from some familiar locations and some not so familiar locations. Her very unusual photographic printing methods will reveal craftsmanship of a very demanding and unpredictable medium, Vellum. Vellum as defined by Webster’s dictionary, “is a fine-grained unsplit lambskin, kidskin, or calfskin prepared especially for writing on or for binding books.” The ancient scribes used it for copying and illustrating texts from the Bible and other religious works. Fran’s work with photographs on this medium will offer viewers a very unique experience. Light refreshments will be served. No charge.
